Mother's day without your mother isn't good and I have to admit that I don't like mother's day. 'I must be selfish' why shouldnt' I ? I have three beautiful children and I am blessed to be a mother, but still I can never be 100% happy on mother's day. My mother died on May 20th 1998, just a month before my wedding and the last time we took my mother out was on mother's day of that year. She was diagnosed with cancer a year before and fought for a year with unbearable pain, always thinking that it will be over. I will never forget her beautiful smile and the love she had for us.
This morning I was reading a blog and by chance went into another blog. This other blog had a beautiful post about mother's day. I read it twice and kept looking at the photos and then I decided to copy her. So here you are mum, 'HAPPY MOTHER's DAY' where ever you are.
My mother, my brother and myself. This is how I mostly remember my childhood days. My father worked abroad and when he was home he worked long hours. So my mother took us every where, we never missed a thing and we usually were the last ones to leave too!!
On the Ferry, crossing from Malta to Gozo. My dad, my brother , myself and mum.
My mum in her teenage years
Dressing up for a carnival party.
When she was a little girl. Love those curls mum!!
I Love You Mom!
Mom's smiles can brighten any moment,
Mom's hugs put joy in all our days,
Mom's love will stay with us forever
and touch our lives in precious ways...
The values you've taught,
the care you've given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways than I can count.
I Love you Mom!

How lovely to see your beautiful, glamorous Mother. I am sorry that she's not with you anymore.
I hope you have a lovely Mothers Day.
You know my husband and I had our honeymoon in Gozo?! So beautiful...one day we will return!
Truely beautiful tribute to your mum. Well done.
What a beautiful post to a well-deserved mother. So sorry for the loss of your mother. I just can't imagine how you've coped with bringing up your family without the help or even the counsel of your mother. I must admit it has been a tough life for you bringing up your kids all by yourself. Right now I just don't know what I'd do without her - she's just my pillar of support.
Hi Dina, hope its not to late to wish you 'Happy Mothers Day' too... really love to see your family photo.. :),
Lovely post. I can't get over that swimsuit! Crazy styling!!
This post is so precious...
