PICKY EATERS .....

..... how many different menus do you prepare for supper? Why is it that there is always someone at the table who will complain, doesn't want to eat or simply tells you "I don't like this" (without even tasting it first)? Now I have had my share with picky eaters and finding a solution is not easy. Experts tell you bribery does not work but it will backlash. How do you my dear bloggy friends handle picky eaters, if you have any that is ??

picky eaters are not welcome at my house. I serve one meal and if you don't like it tough. I will have something on the plate that anyone who thinks they are picky can eat but they don't get more of that until they eat whatever else graces their plate. I do have some food preferences and figure each child will have them too but we do not make separate meals. If you don't like tomatoes in your salad then don't put them in, but you still eat the salad.
That said we need to try things many times before we can truly say we like or don't like them. Kids won't starve, they will eat what is served if really hungry.

Thank you so much for coming back and checking me out. I haven't forgotten about you, life just has been going going going. I am going to the UPS store and looking at international prices I believe shipping is only 30 bucks. But I'm just double checking and I will send you all the information!!

I have picky eaters (including one grown up who should know better). I've tackled it in a wear them down tactic. They have to actually TRY something at least a dozen times before it can go on the "i don't like that" list. not much ends up here. I try to include something they like with everymeal - like pasta or carrots or potato- it doesn't matter what it is! Then they dont reject the dish totally out of hand. Its hard work and it can wear you downbut accept you wont win everynight but if you keep it up, they will come round.
